Hal Elrod

Award Winning Author of The Miracle Morning

I’m not a morning person. I consider myself a night owl and I know some of you feel the same way that I do. Quite frankly, I wish it was the opposite because I do hear about people who have such productive mornings. They get up, workout, write, listen to podcasts and have delicious breakfasts. I want to be that person. And in an effort to be that person, today’s So Money guest, Hal Elrod, is going to help with that.

He has an incredible story and it starts with a tragedy. He died, and then came back to life. Did you know that was even possible? He died at age 20 after being hit head-on by a drunk driver going 70mph. He died for 6 minutes and broke 11 bones. Doctors told him he would never walk again. But not only did he walk again, triumphant he went on to run a 52-mile ultra marathon. He also became a hall of fame business achiever, international keynote speaker and #1 bestselling author of the book The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life (Before 8AM). This book is one of the highest rated books on Amazon with over 1,300 five-star reviews.

I woke up at 7AM this morning, so I have some work to do. There’s some steps in his book that require a couple of hours of ritual before 8AM, at the very least. Hal wakes up at 3:30 in the morning. Is that even the morning at that point? That’s the middle of the night. Anyway, Hal talks more about his incredible story of not only how he overcame that life-threatening experience, but also another rock bottom moment shortly after the recession. He lost clients, his home and his bank account went to negative. How did he overcome those financial challenges? What is his best advice for those of us who don’t consider ourselves to be morning people but want to be more productive? How do we have a Miracle Morning?
