Fraud Protection Facebook Live Q&A

Ever had your wallet stolen or credit card compromised? I have (around Halloween last year, no less) and it’s every bit of scary, damaging and annoying as one might imagine.

In an effort to help you avoid falling in the same trap as I did, I joined my friends at Chase Slate for a special Facebook Live segment.

I had so much fun answering your questions and sharing my advice to keep your identity and money safe. If you missed it you can catch the full Q&A session below:

I mean let’s be honest, it’s an eerie feeling knowing that a complete stranger is walking around with your personal information.

This time last year that exact thing happened to me when I was out shopping with my son and my wallet got stolen right from his stroller.

While I recognize it was partly my fault for leaving the wallet peaking out from a pouch, the truth is, most of us think it will never happen to us.

Until it does.

If you want to know more about my experience and how I – and anyone – can recover, you can also check out my latest blog post for Mint where I talk more about fraud protection. I share some easy practices to protect your credit cards and personal information and what to do if your information does fall into the wrong hands.
